This role is based in Pune and requires you to work from office at least 3 days a week.
What You Could Get To Do Every Day
Communicate and collaborate with a team of engineers who care about the product and code to provide simple, sophisticated solutions to complex technical problems.
Use sound methodologies at every stage of the development cycle including technical design, pair programming, peer code review, documenting, testing, and continuous integration.
Collaborating with product management, and engineers to design beautifully simple solutions to complicated problems. You will be relied on from concept through development, QA, staging, and production deployment.
Ensuring delivery on commitments. It is your responsibility to ensure code quality, debug code, and seek guidance to unblock tasks pending.
Following best practices in all our frameworks and tools.
Championing best practices and proper test coverage. We ship code frequently and fast, but stability and reliability must never be compromised.
Actively participate in code reviews and design discussions
Partner across all areas of the SDLC, including requirements gathering, and building services and solutions.
Work across teams and organization boundaries to standardize and integrate services, new libraries, tools, and workflows
Share the responsibility of maintaining the systems built by the team.
What We’d Love You To Have
8 years of relevant industry experience with frontend software development and active experience with UX thought process
Expertise in technical areas including but not limited to Session Management, Object relational mapping, Caching, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, CSS-in-JS, JSON, and REST APIs
Experience developing complex single page apps with React or similar JavaScript MVC/MVP framework
Hands on experience on AI tools like cursor, Github co pilot , ChatGPT, Claude code etc.
A team-first collaborative attitude that thrives in a fast-moving agile development environment
Be willing to learn new domains and technologies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bonus Skills
Experience with CI/CD and delivery systems (Github Actions, Travis, Jenkins)
Experience with an object oriented language like Ruby or Java
Experience with databases like MySQL
Experience with AWS stack (ie. Aurora RDS)
Experience using Datadog or other log aggregation tools
Expertise with instrumentation frameworks like Segment or Pendo
Experience with JavaScript build infrastructure/tooling (Webpack, Node.js)

Hybrid: In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.

Senior Software Engineer - Frontend - India - Domo
Responsibilities:
Develop scalable user-friendly modern frontend interfaces for Domo’s low code app platform;
Work with stakeholders and technical architects to define the engineering requirements and structure for Business Intelligence (BI) applications;
Help guide the design and development of Domo’s low code app platform;
Develop strategies with other engineering teams to optimize the usage and efficiency of Domo’s low code app platform;
Develop methods and tools to monitor the performance and reliability of Domo’s custom apps platform.
Job Requirements
5+ years of strong UX-minded software development experience with modern JavaScript (ES6) libraries/frameworks;
Demonstrated proficiency with React.js, CSS3, and HTML5;
Preferred experience with Typescript, Redux, React component design systems, and frontend data visualization libraries;
Knowledge of and experience with RESTful web services patterns and practices;
Ability to communicate and interface with technical and non-technical members of the organization;
Working knowledge in development tools and processes, such as source control, requirement spec, design and design review, debugging, unit test, system test, performance test, etc.;
Knowledge of and experience working with big data technologies;
Experience in SaaS and Enterprise DB technologies including both structured (relational) and unstructured (NoSQL) data;
Knowledge of and experience with both row-based and column-based database platforms;
Experience with AGILE and SCRUM methodologies;
Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies;
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field or equivalent professional development experience.
