Role Description: As a UI Engineer at Cadence, you will work with designers, scientists, and software engineers to enhance and extend Orion’s UI capabilities, focusing on scientific visualization, collaboration, data management, and new product development. Responsibilities: - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and modernize Orion’s UI features. - Work on challenging problems in scientific visualization and data interaction. - Contribute to the development of cutting-edge software solutions for drug discovery. Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering, biology/chemistry, or related field. - 8+ years of experience in designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging complex user interfaces and software systems. - Expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, HTML. - Experience with Vue, Pinia/VueX, Nuxt.js / Next.js frameworks. - Knowledge of Life Sciences, HPC, Python, AWS, Web Workers, WebAssembly, WebGL is a plus. - Experience with unit & end-to-end testing, CI/CD, source control, and code review. - Strong computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms). - Excellent interpersonal skills, initiative, problem-solving ability, and willingness to learn.
